VIDE CONSTRUCTIF N°1, Marseille, 2013

CATHERINE BURKI > http://www.catherineburki.com/

The idea is a meeting for a workshop at the edge of water ... an urge to terrace overlooking the sea to paint with the mouth.
When? How? Maybe.
It is a deserted house on an island off the coast of Marseille. It belongs to the city but is still behind a fence marked "Military Land". It is a small house in poor condition perched on the edge of a soft cliff that plunges into the vastness of the sea. From the terrace you can overlook the wide panorama. Inside, one can only imagine the place to meet and work.
This house is about 10 minutes walk from the harbor of the island. It is about 20 minutes by boat from the Vieux-port of Marseille.

The C.R.E. is a center of empty build.

Research Center Evasive, the aforementioned CRE (pronounced "hollow"), brings together artists (artists, designers, photographers, artisans ...) around a simple idea:
Create a collective workshop in an unlikely place over a given time.
The choosed place becomes a pretext for common work.
